8 Lives Lost, 40 Injured in Recent Russian Assaults on Ukraine



The recent Russian attacks against Ukraine have caused significant devastation and loss of life in various regions. Regional authorities have reported that a total of eight people were killed and another 40 were wounded in these attacks.

In Odesa Oblast, Russia launched ballistic missiles, resulting in 14 injuries and a significant fire outbreak. Odesa Oblast Governor Oleh Kiper reported that the attack also caused damage to infrastructure and buildings in the area. Additionally, a postal depot belonging to Ukraine's largest privately-owned postal service, Nova Poshta, was targeted by Russia, although fortunately no employees were harmed.

In Kharkiv Oblast, attacks on settlements claimed the lives of four individuals and injured 14 others. The village of Zolochiv experienced the highest number of casualties, with two fatalities and 13 injuries. Governor Oleh Syniehubov stated that the attack caused damage to administrative buildings, a bank, over 20 cars, and the destruction of one house.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a Russian attack on Nikopol injured four people, including two women and two men. Governor Serhii Lysak reported that artillery and a drone were used in the attack.

Lastly, in Donetsk Oblast, Governor Vadym Filashkin stated that Russian attacks resulted in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to eight others. The town of Hirnyk witnessed the use of Uragan multiple rocket launchers in the attack, claiming the lives of a 57-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man.

Russian attacks were also reported in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, although no civilian casualties were mentioned. These attacks have caused widespread fear and destruction in Ukraine, further escalating the conflict between the two countries.
