Israel Asserts Preparedness Amid Reports of Potential Iranian Attack

Israel's Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, has affirmed that Israel is fully prepared to defend itself both on the ground and in the air, working closely with its partners. This statement came after a meeting with General Michael Kurilla, the head of the US Central Command.

Galant emphasized that the attempts of their enemies to divide Israel and the United States have only strengthened their ties, bringing them closer together. He expressed confidence that the world is seeing the true face of Iran, which supports terrorist activities in the Middle East, funds Hamas and Hezbollah, and poses a threat to Israel. John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council, confirmed that the United States recognizes the real potential threat from Iran and is closely monitoring the situation while reviewing its power positions in the region.

Recent reports have indicated that Iran may be planning to strike Israeli military targets using drones and missiles. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that Tehran will retaliate to Israel's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, but will do so in a limited and proportionate manner. The attack on the consulate resulted in its complete destruction and the loss of several lives, including a high-ranking Iranian military official.

Iran has made a commitment to respond to Israel, while Israel has also pledged to retaliate if Tehran initiates an attack. According to Bloomberg, which cites sources, it is inevitable that Iran will carry out a retaliatory strike, and it is only a matter of time. The agency states that such an attack would result in a significant escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

Russia has expressed condemnation towards the Israeli attack. The Kremlin has clarified that neither side has sought Russia's assistance in resolving the conflict thus far. They emphasize the importance of both Israel and Iran exercising restraint to prevent a complete destabilization of the situation in the region.
